A multi-agency team from the UK’s Emergency Services recently deployed to Gibraltar to deliver Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP) training to Strategic, Tactical and Operational Commanders. JESIP is UK-wide programme launched by the UK Home Office in 2012 with the aim of helping responders save more lives through effective joint working at all incidents where a multi-agency response is required. JESIP joint doctrine establishes a national standard to multi-agency joint working for all incidents, including Counter-Terrorism. Read more

As the new affordable housing scheme was announced by Government yesterday, the chief minister Fabian Picardo took the view that some people might be negative about it, but it will be positive for those in need of affordable housing.
It will be built on the site of the old Westside Comprehensive School, which has been the place for teenage girls to study in for nearly 38 years. Current students and teachers will be moved to the new under development co-education school located at Waterport Road, along with current Bayside Students, in the next academic year. It is hoped that the new high school will be finished by September. Read more

*Over 200 flats to be built
The Government will announce today, that almost immediately, work is about to begin on another new Affordable Housing development, a development which will provide 218 flats in a mix of One-Bedroom, Three-bedroom and Four-Bedroom configurations. Read more

The Gibraltar Youth Service held their annual summer community barbeque evening at Laguna Youth Club. The evening was supported by over hundred and thirty members of the Glacis and Laguna Community.
The purpose of the evening was to develop cohesion amongst the community and the youth club. Read more

The Gibraltar Dyslexia Support Group (GDSG) in association with the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses will be hosting the Diversity & Inclusion, the positive impact of dyslexia in the workplace seminar on Tuesday 24th September. The seminar is aimed at local business community but everyone is welcome. Read more
