The success of the first phase of Old Street Signs in February 2015, the Ministry of Business, Tourism and Transport is launching the second installment of 5 new sites to be exhibited on engraved new street plaques. The Spanish Government is considering the creation of a 'fast lane' at the frontier for Spanish workers, says a representative of the Spanish Government. This could be achieved by the creation of a sort of visa for Spanish workers, this is being described as a 'pseudo-visa.'

Leader of the Opposition Keith Azopardi has written to the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and Together Gibraltar Leader Marlene Hassan-Nahon to propose that Parliament should establish a cross-party Select Committee on Mental Health to report on such improvements to mental health provision in Gibraltar which it considers should be made. Customs Flexible Ant-Smuggling Team on Monday intercepted a vehicle at Line Wall Road which had previously been seen acting suspiciously in the area of Eastern Beach. A search of the vehicle revealed a total of 147 cartons of tobacco. The tobacco was seized and the sole occupant of the vehicle, a Spanish national, was arrested for possession of a commercial quantity and unlawful transportation of cigarettes. The individual has been released on bail to appear on 27th April. Read more
