Spirit of Discovery Saga Cruises' first ever new-build ship. It’s the second Cruise Liner to take on bunkering while anchored in the Bay of Gibraltar, just off the North Mole tanks, since the Coronavirus WHO alert, says Joe Brugada who took the picture.
In another move, as it neared Gibraltar the same ship reported that, on board, it had 89 cases of suspected Norovirus (Diarrhoea, vomiting and fever). Read more

We argued against the joint use of the airport and one of the reasons was that Spain wanted the presence of their law enforcement agencies in the terminal. Now we allow them to accompany our law enforcement agencies when conducting searches in Gibraltar! Read more

The George Federico Darts Hall hosted the third of seven Ranking Tournaments of the Darts Season, the Carmelo Ellul Trophy. This tournament was named in honour of the Late Carmelo Ellul who along with Dave Obee formed the GDA back in 1958, and served on the Committee for many years. Read more

A friend sent me a link of a short documentary film of the Miss World 1970 by Pathe News, where I could be seen with some of the contestants visiting the sites in London. I did not know of its existence and it pleased me greatly to see it. Shortly after photos taken from said site appeared in a website that shows old photos of Gibraltar, which apparently created a lot of interest because Gibraltarians love to see anything about Gibraltar that relates to our past.
