‘St. Paul’s School hosted their traditional One Love event this week as part of their World Book Week celebrations. The One Love initiative which was spearheaded by the school’s Headteacher, Mr Aguilera, over 5 years ago, involves each child inviting a loved one to school to join them to work together on an activity. It aims to provide children with the opportunity to learn with a member of their family and develop some of the core elements of learning skills such as teamwork, communication and critical thinking. What has been billed in Spain as the fastest patrol boat on the planet has just been presented to the Guardia Civil in the port of Sotogrande. The fast interceptor launch is expected to be deployed to the area around Gibraltar thereby raising concerns about an increase in the number of incursions into British Gibraltar Territorial Waters (BGTW). Children crave love, emotional warmth, physical warmth and strong attachments with their parents or guardians. When a child is in care there are strict rules that all carers need to abide by. Read more

World Book Day has arrived at Loreto Convent School, with both pupils and staff dressing up as a character from their favourite story. Pupils from our Nursery and Lower School were lucky enough to have author Anna Bogie read them some of her books and talk to the children about developing rhyme. Read more
