Certainly, it is in perfect order that we have been securing our Gibraltarian civilian rights, but in so doing, we should not eclipse our standing in world terms of a place of the greatest significance in military terms. Read more

Like many other places abroad Gibraltarians have changed as a people. Simply look around and note how our society has developed and increased in size, not just literally or in number, but in land mass with the number of buildings and new developments and others planned, that have transformed Gibraltar in the last 15 or 20 years: Read more

In June last year the Chamber made a number or practical and reasonable submissions to the government in response to the Command Paper for private sector pensions published in May 2018.
We note in the recently published private sector pensions bill that none of the submissions we made have been adopted or incorporated into the bill. The Chamber also notes that significant parts of the Command Paper have been cut and have not been included into the draft bill. Read more

The latest statement from Together Gibraltar on the Climate Emergency attempts to address a number of different issues and ends up addressing none at all. Their statement, trying to hijack and wanting to spoil the most successful World Environment Day Gibraltar has seen, is both miss-timed and inaccurate, says Government. Read more

Changes have been implemented to the terms of the underleases of the new affordable housing developments going forward will put an end to speculation for investment and undue profits on the subsequent sales of such housing and these will be curtailed with the introduction of strict conditions of resale.
