Yesterday saw Minister of Heritage John Cortes and Museum Director Clive Finlayson unveil a new addition to the Gibraltar National Library with the forensic reconstruction of a modern neolithic female human from around 5,700BC, which is to be displayed immediately for visitors of the Gibraltar National Museum to have a look and see. While Gibraltar for the last 4 or 5 days has been busy letting off plenty of social and community steam. Panorama can today reveal that the Spanish Government has been doing quite the opposite.
Although some in Gibraltar may not believe it, Madrid still considers Gibraltar one of the most complex and important issues they have on their international agenda. And as you would expect, Madrid will always take every opportunity to get one over the Rock when they think we are not looking! Read more

Younger generations are using English almost exclusively, a fact educators blame partly on social media.
Guy Olivero can quote entire passages from Cervantes’ Don Quijote and works by Shakespeare with equal ease. He reads, speaks and enjoys both Spanish and English, like many other citizens of Gibraltar. His real passion, though, is the work of Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, which he reads out to school children on both sides of the border separating Spain from the British overseas territory.
