AWAITING FOR DECOLONISATION FOR 73 YEARS
*FULL TEXT of address last night to the UN 4th Committee by DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER DR JOSEPH GARCIA:
Mr Chairman,
Gibraltar was placed on a list of territories awaiting decolonisation in 1946.That was seventy-three years ago.
At that time, the world was emerging from the horrors of war.
The women and children of Gibraltar had been evacuated as part of the wider war effort.
They were forced to leave their homeland. Read more

The fresh political party, founded just over two years ago, released their manifesto for their first General Election led by Marlene Hassan Nahon.
‘Believe in a better way’ is the slogan that is present in the 72 page manifesto. The structure of the manifesto consists of information of all the candidates and what their views of their allocated areas are, what they will introduce if elected into government and what they believe needs to be changed. The Bayside School Cyber Club has been awarded ‘Best Educator’ at the 2019 Seriously Security Awards held in London.
The nomination was made by the chief examiner of a cyber security qualification who had witnessed the work done by the club and its partnership with the technology sector first hand. Over the past five years, students have been taught by industry experts, been on work experience within the sector, gained vocational qualifications and worked as interns at various companies.
