Today, 3rd December is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). This day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues, mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to raise awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of social, economic, political and cultural life. Read more

The Government has revealed plans for the next phase in its schools’ development plan.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, and the Minister for Education, John Cortes, together with the Director of Education Mrs Jacqueline Mason yesterday presented the designs for the new St Martin’s, Governor’s Meadow and Bishop Fitzgerald Schools. Read more

The Government has confirmed that the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo has written to the Prime Minister, Theresa May, to tell her that the Gibraltar Government has approved the application to Gibraltar of the Protocol in the UK/EU Withdrawal Agreement. Three juveniles have been charged in relation to six burglaries committed on Monday.
All three juveniles have been jointly charged with five of the burglaries, including one at a residential address from which property with a claimed value in excess of £10,000 is alleged to have been stolen. Two of the juveniles were jointly charged with the remaining burglary, says Police. Read more
