Over thirty Members of the House of Representatives of the United States have co-sponsored a Resolution which backs the right of the people of Gibraltar to determine their own future. This includes Members from both the Democratic and the Republican parties.
Resolution 174 was tabled once again by Congressman George Holding following the US Congressional elections which took place in November last year. The procedure is that this needs to be re-tabled after each new session of Congress commences. Read more

The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia, speaking in Washington, has asserted the right of the people of Gibraltar to self-determination.
He has also drawn attention to the concern that Spain may seek to take unfair advantage of our departure from the European Union in order to advance its outdated sovereignty claim. Read more

A few years ago former Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti said in a speech as he pointed out that the challenges for integration in the EU beyond 2020 was based on three bridges:
First...between north and south especially in the eurozone area
Second...between the UK and the rest of the EU
Third...between the EU and its citizens.... today I would add a smaller fourth bridge...
Fourth...there can be no long lasting integration if you are not an EU member after 2020 and that exactly is what the UK along with Gibraltar is looking at Read more

A multi-disciplinary group, led by the Minister with responsibility for persons with disabilities, Neil F. Costa and the Care Agency, has completed a review of services available for persons with learning disabilities. The Working Group, which includes officials within the fields of Education, Health and Social Care, conducted the review with the aim of making recommendations for developments throughout the current services to best meet the needs of our community. Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, says that ‘Rock of Ages’ by artist Paul Cosquieri has been selected for the 2019 Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition. Out of the approximate 13,000 works that have been submitted, only 700 have been accepted for the exhibition. Read more

Andrew Mackinlay, who for 18 years was the Labour Member of Parliament for Thurrock, and a good friend of Gibraltar, has urged Labour Party ‘Remain’ supporting members to vote Liberal Democrat in the European elections on Thursday, Mr Mackinlay said. Read more
