On Monday night, the Government of Gibraltar issued a press release, following the closure of Gibraltar Airport on Sunday evening due to air traffic controller sickness. The Government statement suggested that “when other off-duty controllers were then asked to cover this absence, no-one was willing to do so”. The statement went on to say “the Government regrets that …the controllers were clearly not being as cooperative as they could have been.” Read more

The Annual Competitive Exhibition 2019 of the Gibraltar Photographic Society will be opened officially by the Governor Lieutenant General Edward Davies, on Monday 23rd September, at 7.00pm, at the Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery in Casemates. He will also be presenting the trophies to the winners.
The Exhibition will be open to the public from Tuesday 24th September to Friday 4th October, between the hours of 10.00am and 5.00pm. Read more

After careful consideration Leeds Building Society has decided to withdraw from Gibraltar, having served the local community since 2002.
