Years back, I dedicated some articles on the subject of illegal fishing practices, and plundering of the oceans by Spain.

I use the word `plundering,` because this is a nation well known for its voracious appetite for fish, which involves any manner of illegal and destructive fishing practices such as bottom trawling; damaging levels of bycatch; longline; gillnets; and ghost fishing by discarded gear.
