EU Commission Greek Vice President Margaritis Schinas shocked more than one yesterday with the use of the phrase “Gibraltar Espanol” during a media event in Sevilla.

In a remark which echoed that of former Spanish Foreign Minister Margallo, the EU Commission Vice President appears to have displayed all the tact of a bull in a china-shop, given the sensitivity of the on-going treaty negotiations.
