Battle commences for the soul of the GSD

The battle lines for the leadership of the GSD have now been firmly drawn, with the two main contenders having thrown their hats into the ring almost immediately.

It is now clear that incumbent Mr Keith Azopardi will face a challenge to his position from fellow MP Damon Bossino. More names coming forward before the 17 November deadline cannot be ruled out.
UNPLEASANT
A leadership contest is always unpleasant and divisive no matter the background and no matter the personalities involved. The one facing the main party of opposition in Gibraltar is expected to be no different. Yet on this occasion there are a number of important factors to consider.
