IN MY OPINION by F. Oliva
Dorian Gray the Faustian character written by Oscar Wilde, was supernaturally bestowed with eternal youth.
Despite a dissolute lifestyle, his looks remained fresh and innocent, a countenance untouched by the passage of time and a plethora of evil deeds. But he had a terrible secret. Hidden away in his loft, he kept a portrait of himself that bore all the ravages of his depravity.
Gray could serve as a political allegory for candidates who ostensibly represent one thing, but whose utterances unconsciously betray something altogether quite different.
