Picardo removes frontier ‘Iron Curtain’ after high powered talks with Spain

News of the queuing changes at the frontier in what appeared as an early taster of the Brexit ‘Iron Curtain’ customs and immigration regime in the event of a No Negotiated Outcome, spread through WhatsApp groups on Friday like a forest fire. 


The exemptions that born and bred Gibraltarians including those who have formally made the Rock their home, have enjoyed since the Chief Minister’s miraculous New Year’s Eve reprieve in 2020 that stopped the Brexit guillotine in mid-air, and avoided it from slicing our exposed necks, had seemingly run its course.
