Summer is normally the silly season in the world of news, when pundits, politicians and wannabes pack their bags and head for hotels and beaches in exotic or perhaps less exotic places.
It is generally also a quiet time in politics, with journalists scrounging for stories and stretching the limits of credibility to fill up air time or column inches.
ACTION
Gibraltar is often an exception to the rule. Rather than heat and boredom, we have become accustomed instead to a new normal which is heat coupled with action. It was in the heat of the summer not that long ago that one Mr Margallo decided to ratchet up passage through the border in the most inhumane way possible.
