The Chief Minister gave evidence to the European Scrutiny Committee of the House of Commons on Wednesday afternoon, regarding negotiations with the European Union in respect of Gibraltar.
The Chair, Sir William Cash MP began the session by telling the Chief Minister they had not seen one another since the Committee travelled to Gibraltar this time last year where “they learnt a lot about UK-EU negotiations on trade and border deal for Gibraltar, and the unique issues that prevail on the Rock.”
The Conservative MP added that the meeting was to consider what has been achieved after 13 rounds and 20 months of negotiations, and Mr Picardo’s achievement and those of the UK government over this period.
