Chief Minister to address United Nations today

The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia arrived in New York this weekend ready for the annual verbal battle with Spain in the Committee of 24. The tone of recent encounters has been markedly more moderate though, presumably as a result of the continuous post-Brexit engagement between the Spanish Foreign Ministry and No 6 Convent Place.

SEPARATE
The Government has said that Mr Picardo and Dr Garcia will be splitting up for separate meetings after the UN session. This may reflect the undercover work that we are often told accompanies such visits and which is neither announced nor reported upon for obvious reasons.
