Rishi Sunak wins Conservative leadership

Rishi Sunak became leader of the Conservative Party yesterday after the withdrawal from the race of rivals Boris Johnson, on Sunday, and Penny Mordaunt, minutes before the declaration, on Monday.

This means that the United Kingdom has a new Prime Minister.
Sunak won the vote among MPs before the summer but later lost out when party members supported his then rival Liz Truss.
