Hundreds of people filled Casemates Square on Saturday, as Gibraltar Pride 2022 took place, with members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies celebrating in solidarity.
Organised by the LGBTQ+ Committee, the event commenced at 10am and continued through the evening. It included speeches, competitions, different stalls, dancing and music, whilst remembering the key messages of Pride.
Various speeches were given by speakers such as the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, Minister for Equality, Samantha Sacramento, and the Committee’s Lorraine Olivera to name a few.
At midday, attendees took part in a march from Casemates up Main Street, before continuing celebrations.
After the event, PANORAMA spoke with Chairperson of the LGBTQ+ Committee, Lorraine Olivera, to find out more about how it went.
