Proposed plans for the beautification of Landport pedestrian route into town, from Corral Road to Casemates Square have been filed with the Town Planning department, this week.
On behalf of HM Government of Gibraltar’s Ministry for Business, Tourism & the Port, GC Architects have submitted Architectural Drawings, a Planning Statement and Forms, as a HM GoG Application towards Full Planning Permission for the proposed works.
The Landport entry route is recognised to have originally been the only land access into Gibraltar other than by sea, thus it was heavily fortified.
PLANNING STATEMENT
Within the Planning Statement found on the eGov website, it noted that there are six constraints to the application, including pedestrian and vehicle shared traffic, vehicle access points and existing levels to name a few.
