ROADS, LANES, RAMPS AND SHORTCUTS

If I had to sum up the Upper Town it would definitely be using the title of today’s article.

For many it can also be dubbed a playground and probably an iconic place to play such games such as hide and seek and so on, no doubt and that is exactly what the Upper Town was for me growing up.
As many of you know by my article Farewell Old Friend, I was born and raised in the South District and I still live there but the Upper Town, mostly from tail end of Flat Bastion Road leading to Carter’s is very significant in my life and I have ventured through there to get to Main Street as opposed to going down via Scud Hill or vice versa to get home from it countless times and did a lot in my teens even if it meant going up via Library Ramp.
