Five members of the U.S Congress who were in Gibraltar laid a wreath at the American War Memorial yesterday morning in honor of US Servicemen who have lost their lives.
The Congressmen are Rep. George Holding, Rep. Ken Calvert, Rep. Paul Cook, Rep. Kenny Marchant, and Rep. David Rouzer.
They were accompanied by the Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Joseph Garcia, who laid a wreath on behalf of the Government and the people of Gibraltar, and by the Commander British Forces Commodore, Tim Henry. The American War Memorial was completed in 1932 and was a gesture of thanks from the Government of the United States of America for the role that Gibraltar played in support of the U.S Navy during the First World War
