Ministers continue world tours

Minister Isola’s Far East visit continues in Hong Kong, travelling in Asia from Beijing to Hong Kong where he attended a number of pre-arranged commercial appointments and media engagements.
His schedule included an invitation to attend and speak at a private lunch at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel organized by the Gibraltar Stock Exchange Group (“GSX”). The lunch was hosted by Ben Soh, Executive Director (Asia) of GSX and provided a great opportunity to meet a number of the senior management team of GSX and its subsidiary the Gibraltar Blockchain Exchange (“GBX”) who are based in Hong Kong and learn more of their exciting plans for the growth of their various businesses.
Isola commented “I was delighted to attend and speak at the GSX lunch and to have the opportunity to meet with key business partners and customers of the GSX Group as they continue to expand their operations in the Asia region.”
Minister Isola was accompanied by Gibraltar Finance senior executives Michael Ashton and Paul Astengo.
MELTING ICE AFTER CUBA
Meanwhile, minister Bossano has hold meetings in Havana, London and Geneva.
In Cuba he met up with President Miguel Diaz-Canel and others. Discussions centred on the opportunities for Trade and Investment in Cuba as a result of recent constitutional changes which have increased the opportunities for private sector and joint venture initiatives. It could be the Government has lots of money and we shall soon make some buys in the land of Castro.
He was then off to London to attend a presentation at the Foreign Office by Professor Dame Jane Francis currently the Director of the British Antarctic Survey. Professor Francis will be talking on the problems of the melting ice caps and the effect on the Planet’s environment.
Next day it's off to Geneva to participate in the 30th anniversary of the annual meeting of Crans Montana Forum having attended the launch of the Forum initially.
Minister Bossano will return to Gibraltar on Saturday.
