It all started when a group of netball friends got together during the holiday season of 2009 and prepared a skit for the habitants of Mount Alvernia. After receiving a flurry of unexpected positive reviews and after a more adventurous performance at the Victoria Stadium MUGA (2010’s Happy Flying) LOL Productions was born.

Led by director, producer & lyricist Giselle Baker, LOL went on to create a total of 10 successful llanito musical comedy productions including favourites such as 2013’s ‘Gibunga’, 2017’s ‘Déjà Vu’ and most recently 2019’s ‘Flower Power’.

‘Flower Power’ was not only celebrating LOL Productions’ 10th show anniversary, but also coincided with the 50th anniversary of the closure of the border which, coincidentally, was a part of this year’s production.
