Badminton’s Doubles Tournament
Division One saw Translube with Veteran Ivan De Haro competing against Kasper Jessen's Jyske Bank team. Unfortunately this proved to be a one sided affair with Translube too strong for Jyske Bank, coming out with a five games to one victory. There were a couple of close matches with Kasper and Alison pushing Ivan and James to three sets at the start.
The Division 2 final was a one-sided affair with Golden Star proving too strong for juniors Moto Mayhem winning 6-0 overall on both games. Although Golden Star were too strong on the day, it was great to see a junior team pushing for trophies. It will be interesting to see how they develop and push for titles in the upcoming year.
The Trends Doubles Tournament spells the end for the season of Badminton. Now the Gibraltar National Squad will turn their focus to the upcoming Island Games to be held in July.
