Strong numbers in ‘Walk for Life’ charity event
The event kicked off on Saturday from Casemates Square where 30 Redibikes were available free of charge for the cycling route after paying the event’s £5 registration fee.
Most people at one point or another would have been affected by the difficulties associated with the treatment of cancer and Gibraltar did its part to support the campaign.
Blue and pink balloons as well as informative stalls covered Casemates and there was a real buzz in the air because of the passion to beat the indiscriminate illness.
Participants included many members of the community who had suffered or had a loved one who had been afflicted by cancer.
The strong numbers paid testimony to the hard work done by those involved in cancer treatment or rehabilitation as well as the pillars of support from family members.
