The Gibraltar Parliament and CPA Gibraltar Branch are hosting the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Executive Committee for their Mid-Year Meeting in Gibraltar this week. The two-day meeting will take place from 18 to 19 April 2022 and will welcome Speakers and Members of Parliament from across the Commonwealth, both in-person and via video link. Read more

An application to construct a mixed-use development including residential, retail and commercial facilities on the site of the Old Bayside School has been filed with the Town Planner this week in hopes that it will become a new hub in Gibraltar to be able to contribute to “Gibraltar’s fast evolution as prima destination.” Read more

The recent announcement that the developer of the Eastside has now paid the premium due to the Government must be very welcome news to all concerned. The unattractive site has long served as a political football between successive governments and oppositions, and while this may not change, deep down all sides know that it represents a huge vote of confidence in Gibraltar PLC in these turbulent global economic times.
