As the days go by, it looks like Brexit; with its reassurance from the UK in words at least for now; plus the role being played by our Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister who have come in for much praise from those in high places for their astute and intelligent handling of brexit matters; something which we take pride in; it looks like we are moving in a very positive direction. The desired factor now, for a tailor made relationship with the EU. Read more

There are many things that I don’t understand. One of those things being the fascination of Halloween in Gibraltar. It really is a big thing. In America they have their family trick or treat parties where the whole community gets involved out on the streets, and it has been so for many years. In Britain it is a half hearted effort, which the churches are trying to ignore or some actively discourage. Read more

Gibraltar for as long as anyone living today can remember has always been a source of contention between the UK and Spain. In fact, the diplomatic conflict goes back many decades, even before today’s pre-Brexit modern day political scenario. Where I’m glad to report, Gibraltar is now dividing Spanish politics. This gives some credence to the well-known phrase ‘Divide and Conquer.’ Read more

As a child, I was educated to know exactly where the rain in Spain falls mainly on. Moving here, I should have guessed that the rain in Gibraltar falls mainly on Main Street. The walkway having recently been converted to a cycle path, now seems to have been converted to a canal or small river with a deluge of water that takes no prisoners. Everyone is going to get wet.
