The Government and Gibraltar NASUWT (the Teachers’ Union) have signed a new Facilities Agreement that will govern the relationship between the two entities.
The Agreement has been discussed and agreed at the Social Partnership, where Union and Government, including the Department of Education and Human Resources departments, meet regularly to discuss matters of common interest. Read more

A temporary solution has been found to uncontrolled parking outside Beach View Terraces. For some time the Beach View Terraces Committee and individual residents have raised concerns about safe pedestrian access and unregulated parking in the area directly outside the estate on Devil’s Tower Road. Over time, an increasing number of cars and motorcycles have occupied this area, which will soon become part of the route to the new airport tunnel. Read more

It was in 1997 when Gibraltar already envisaged a future status with the EU possible under some type of special arrangement. What a turn for the books! Having said this, if Spain had not vomited yet another lot of vile, the obvious answer would have been to give Gibraltar membership of the customs union and single market by special protocol; a bespoke arrangement like other EU microstates enjoy, such as Monaco, San Marino, the Vatican City and Andorra. It is extraordinary, if not shocking, that Unite should walk out, because the Care Agency did the right thing yesterday, to notify Care Workers of an intended redeployment. "This notification was in order to inform Care Workers on the intended redeployment," says statement. A number of concerned parents have again approached Together Gibraltar following the news of the sale of underground parking spaces on the site of the future Westside and Bayside Schools, and the new Notre Dame School. They feel their initial concerns have not been adequately addressed in relation to the security issues which result from underground parking on school premises. Read more
