There was a serious incident at the airport yesterday affecting a flight from Bristol, who had a disruptive passenger onboard. It was at around ten in the morning, when the RGP Control Room received a call from Air Traffic Control asking for a police presence when the EasyJet flight EZY6299 arrived from Bristol. Read more

The Minister for Health, Samantha Sacramento has launched the Gibraltar National Mental Health Strategy. The main aim of the 5-year strategy is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the population of Gibraltar. Its mission is to provide an inclusive integrated mental health system that promotes self-care, recovery and reduces stigma. Read more

The Spanish right-wing party Vox has again come out attacking Gibraltar, on this occasion they want the immediate closure of the frontier to suffocate Gibraltar and recover what they describe as Spanish sovereignty.
This was stated by the secretary general of Vox Macarena Olona at a press conference yesterday on the other side of the frontier. Read more

‘We have known five young people to have taken their lives’
Suicide is something that hasn't been tackled in Gibraltar for many years. I spoke to Joel Orme who is the Founder of pressure group ‘UGOOD GIB’. They strive to be at the forefront of the fight against suicide in Gibraltar by encouraging education of mental health issues and resources, providing practical advice to sufferers, uniting efforts to change behaviour in the community, and helping and holding organisations accountable to eradicate suicide from their environment and from the wider population. The Mayor, Mr Christian Santos visited the soup kitchen at St Theresa’s Parish Church.
