The Spanish party Vox will be seen by many as having lowered political standards even further following comments made by a number of its prominent members after the death of the Queen. They have showed no tact, no taste and a singular lack of respect for a Sovereign who has rightly been showered with tributes from around the world.

Spanish news agencies were pointing out last Friday, the day after Her Majesty passed away, that at that point neither the party leader Abascal, nor the party itself, had issued public messages of condolence. Indeed, several prominent MPs did the very opposite and were critical of other Spanish politicians who were respectful in their public comments. Read more

The Miss Gibraltar 2022 pageant is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday September 17th at the Alameda Open Air Theatre.
It is the first Miss Gibraltar show that No1 Models have organised, produced and staged since they were awarded the contract for the event earlier this year. Read more

The coffin with Her Majesty the Queen, which made the journey from Edinburgh to London on Tuesday, is now lying in State at Westminster Hall. There was an emotional farewell to the Sovereign from the Scottish capital and that same opportunity now will be extended to people in London as well. Read more

For the first time since the 28th July 2022 Gibraltar’s water supply is now free from all restrictions.
The fire at Powers Drive which subsequently caused all production of water to suddenly stop at Governors Cottage will now lead to a “lessons learnt” exercise to establish inter alia how we can achieve greater resilience in our production and supply of water to the Community. Read more
