Changes have been implemented to the terms of the underleases of the new affordable housing developments going forward will put an end to speculation for investment and undue profits on the subsequent sales of such housing and these will be curtailed with the introduction of strict conditions of resale. The Official Journal of the European Union has published details of an application by the Kingdom of Spain to annul the decision of the European Commission dated 19 December 2018 in relation to Gibraltar’s Income Tax regime. 'This represents yet another attack by a Spanish Government on one of the pillars of our economic model, namely our tax regime, and shows that whatever agreements are reached with a Spanish Government, of whatever political persuasion, they simply cannot be trusted to set aside their obsessive attempts to damage our economy and our way of life,' said Daniel Feetham. The Government notes the action brought by the Spanish Government on 10 April 2019 in Case T-241/19. In this action, Spain seeks the annulment of the Commission decision of 19 December 2018 in which the Commission found that certain discreet aspects of the Income Tax Act 2010 constituted state aid.
