The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo has congratulated Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his general election victory.
The outcome of the UK general election means that the United Kingdom and Gibraltar will leave the European Union on 31 January.
However, that departure will be with an agreement and with a transitional period which will apply to Gibraltar. Read more

The UK general election result is a major success for Boris Johnson and the Conservatives, with Britain and Gibraltar now on the Brexit road.
Fears mounting before the election that Labour was making headway and a close result was predicted by the pundits, ended with the Conservatives instead securing an absolute majority, the kind of results not seen since the 1930s. Read more

Axe falls on GFA General Secretary who moves on to new post
The axe should fall on GFA General Secretary Dennis Beiso as part of a major restructure of GFA, while Legal Director Ivan Robba should also take on that role.
The proposed changes follows an audit conducted by Nicolaus Marshall following a request by GFA President Michael Llamas to take the National football association "to a new level of organisation after our initial years as UEFA and FIFA members.” Read more
