The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo yesterday asked HE the Governor Sir David Steel to dissolve Parliament and issue a writ for a general election on Thursday 12 October. Following his speech, Mr Picardo answered questions from local media outlets.
Firstly, one question stated that in the 2019 elections, the GSLP/Liberals fought ‘on the basis that you said that you were the only part that could get Brexit done, and get a safe and secure deal for Gibraltar’ and that four years later he is ‘asking for that same mandate again, so what would you say to those who might accuse you of having failed to secure that mandate first time round?’ Read more
