The Minister for Youth, Steven Linares, has met with the “Voice of Young People (VYP)” to discuss projects and initiatives, which VYP believe, are relevant to the youth in our community.
Projects discussed included exploring provisions for LGBTQ+ and the voting age change from 18 to 16. Read more

The Royal Gibraltar Police are warning the public of a telephone scam that appears to be circulating within Gibraltar. The RGP have received a number of reports of persons receiving calls from what appear to be locally registered +350 numbers, whereby the caller purports to be a representative of either GibTelecom or Gib Fibrespeed. It is deeply ironic that Mr Picardo whose first press release on the GSD New Year’s Message was a bitter personal attack on Mr Azopardi that was full of name-calling should now accuse Mr Azopardi of negative politics. It is as if he is pretending that did not happen.
Mr Picardo would do well to go back and re-read his angry first press release and realize how personal and petty his release was. Read more

Unite, the union for workers in Gibraltar, is today reflecting upon the one year anniversary of the demonstration and march that saw over 2,000 people on the streets of Gibraltar protesting against the proliferation of insecure employment practices across Gibraltar. Following the march a fifteen point “manifesto for change” was presented to the Chief Minister on the 1st February in correspondence detailing the aspirations of those living and working in Gibraltar on this important agenda. Incredible, it appears that the Government and pertinent Authorities are sitting tight and waiting for a really serious or fatal traffic accident to occur before someone determinedly takes their finger-out and does something useful regarding the ‘Road Safety and Road Management’ of local roads including what decisions are going to be taken once and for all, regarding the regulation of micro-vehicles or more commonly known ‘E-Scooters’ which have vehicularly dangerously infested Gibraltar roads!!!
