The Chief Minister has given notice that he proposes to move the following resolution at the meeting of Parliament:
"GOVERNMENT GUARANTEE FOR GIBRALTAR BUSINESS DISRUPTION LOAN GUARANTEE SCHEME THIS HOUSE NOTES THAT Her Majesty's Government of Gibraltar has negotiated an agreement with Gibraltar International Bank, The Royal Bank of Scotland International Limited, Gibraltar Branch and Trusted Novus Bank Limited to participate in a scheme to be known as the Gibraltar Business Disruption Loan Guarantee Scheme; Read more

As Spain struggles to get back on its feet after its own historical tussle with the Covid pandemic, huge fragile craters have also left the Spanish economy in a precarious state.
Madrid, with the latter situation in mind, has recently announced it is preparing to welcome foreign holidaymakers for the summer season and is also set to reopen its borders to foreign visitors from July. Read more

The Gibraltar Health Authority has taken the operational decision to close the Critical Care Unit 2 (CCU2). This mirrors the gradual unlocking of Gibraltar as a whole.
CCU2 has served for the intensive care of non-COVID cases over the last few months, while sus-pected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 have used CCU1. Read more

STOP Non-resident vehicles entering city centre - and that’s half the problem solved
If the Government wants to reduce car and motorcycle pollution, they should prohibit non-resident vehicles from entering the city centre - and that would be half the problem solved without messing up the long-suffering resident population.
This is not a question of nationality, it is doing what in other cities elsewhere are doing when faced with traffic congestion problems. Read more

Four cruise ships carry out technical call at Gibraltar
