The Gibraltar Fishing Club held their second Conger and White Bream night competition recently, with a total of 19 members taking part.
The local fishing club stated that the event ended as the ‘best conger competition held since records were kept’, adding that a grand total of 38 congers were landed and all released back alive, as per the club’s decades old policy.
Christian Origo and Mario Ramos caught within minutes of each other, two 14 plus kilo Congers, one of the heaviest ever recorded, with a mere 90 grams difference.
