Outline planning permission for the Eastside development was granted at April’s Development and Planning Commission after being discussed for over three hours.

A masterplan for the proposed development was presented by the developers and architects, alongside Environmental Impact Assessment findings.

The site would sit in between two highly contrasting architectural expressions; Catalan Bay to the South and Hassan Centenary Terraces to the North.
