The British Royal Fleet Auxiliary Tidesprng replenishment tanker which arrived at Gibraltar last Thursday at Gibraltar coincided with the arrival of the Royal Navy’s Type 23 Frigates HMS Richmond and HMS Kent close on its heels.
The vessels form part of the UK’s Carrier Strike Group 21, and work alongside each other, protecting the strike group friends m potential underwater threats.
The RFA Tidespring sailed out of Gibraltar Port at 0930 hours on Saturday, and together with Richmond flying the White Ensign, held station in BGTW off the Detached Mole until approximately 1230 hours before departing on their missions.
