Throughout the game Gibraltar were fast and furious but the Malaysians’ noticeable height advantage proved decisive. This was most marked in Gibraltar’s defensive goal area but the Malaysians shooting was extremely accurate throughout the whole game. In attack, Gibraltar struggled against a level of physicality they are not used to but all their substitutes were given some match time so that everyone could learn from the game. Overall, these matches against opposition from the Far East are a valuable learning experience for the Campions. Without doubt, it is a different style of play from that they are used to at home. Morale is high and everyone is looking forward to the match against Hong Kong tomorrow.
