The Chief Minister met with Len McCluskey, the General Secretary of Unite the Union, during his short visit to Gibraltar. Mr Picardo said: "Our meeting centred on matters relating to the day-to-day work that Government and Unite undertake, the many areas of policy agreement between us, as well as the fewer areas of disagreement that we are continually working to resolve.
We also had a lengthy discussion about Brexit generally and about the effects of Brexit, in its many potential guises, on Gibraltar and Unite members in particular. It was, as usual, an enjoyable and animated discussion with a man who understands the importance of Gibraltar to Unite and Unite's importance to Gibraltar. I welcome Len's visit at this seminal time in our history."
