During the Leader’s Address, Marlene Hasson Nahon MP thanked the public for the incredible turnout and to much applause said, ‘it fills me with so much warmth and it also makes me realise that becoming an independent Member of Parliament was the best thing I ever did’.
This, she stated ‘afforded me the privilege to realise how tribal politics was in Gibraltar. How two-sided and how binary everything was...and I realised that there was more to give and there was more to have had in engaging people in the democratic process.’
