A collection will be held at Morrisons on 2nd February for Cancer Research UK as part of the World Cancer Day campaign.

Cancer Research UK is asking Gibraltar to help support life-saving research on World Cancer Day, Monday 4 February, by donating and wearing one of the charity’s Unity Bands. A Unity Band is a wristband which symbolises solidarity with people diagnosed with cancer.

The money raised in Gibraltar will help save more lives across the world by funding cutting edge research that will help to accelerate advances in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

The good news is that thanks to research, more people are surviving than ever before.

Survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years and Cancer Research UK’s work has been at the heart of this progress. Every step the charity’s doctors, nurses and scientists take relies on donations from the public and the tireless fundraising by supporters.

Cancer Research UK would like to thank everyone in Gibraltar who wears a Unity Band or donates money. Our research has no borders. Cancer affects people, wherever they live.
