GSLP/Liberals would win an election today

If a General Election took place today, the GSLP Liberals would win but with a reduced majority compared to the last election in 2015.

The two opposition parties would roughly split the rest of the votes, with the GSD edging ahead of the Together Gibraltar party.

That is the finding of the PANORAMA OPINION POLL published today.

As the table shows, the GSLP/Liberals would obtain 56% of the votes (compared with 68% at the last election in what was a two party election), and the GSD would obtain 25% of votes (compared with 31% in 2015), with new- corners TG obtaining 19%.

Although in an election blank votes do not count, in the Panorama poll it was established that over 7% of the electorate would vote blank. Mixed voting accounted for 4%.

The question asked was 'If a General Election took place today, who would you vote for?

The poll was carried out before Christmas in the 14 electoral areas using the same scientific methods that have been so successful in the past, forecasting election winners and other trends.

Panorama pioneered opinion polls in Gibraltar, and we have a track record that spans over 40 years.
