After teachers had taught the significance of the day, children wrote their own poems based on the word ‘Hero’ and drew pictures on the theme of ‘poppies.’ After their poems and drawings were displayed at the school’s assembly, one of their pictures of a wreath was then added to the display in the John Mackintosh Hall exhibition.
