Gibraltar’s oldest evacuee turns 100!

Lorenza Rodriguez is Gibraltar’s oldest ecavuee. On her 100th birthday recently she received a card from the Queen and from the Chief Minister, as can be seen in our picture on the left. 

Also pictured above on the left, is Lorenza when she was only 19 years old, working in Burwell in Cambridge during the war making parachutes out of flax. Lorenza still lives in the UK and her son Francis, a Panorama reader, sent us these pictures.
